Wilson, Sharon A. of Grand Prairie left her earthly journey on September 15, 2019, passing peacefully in Arlington, Texas. She was born on January 30, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Oscar and Roberta Wilson.
Sharon, was a life time resident of Grand Prairie, she graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1975. She attended to Mountain View College, moved briefly to work in Little Rock, Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee, returning back to her hometown of Grand Prairie, TX. Sharon was previously employed by International Harvester and Truck Pro Parts. She was currently employed at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, De Soto, Texas.
Sharon’s hobbies included working on genealogy for family and friends, crafts, and knitting. Sharon was a history buff; she would research anything that came to mind. She had extensive knowledge of numerous historical events. Sharon also loved spending time with her family’s, friends and helping others. Sharon was the family historian and assumed the role of family matriarch after the loss of her Mother.

Sharon is survived by her father: Oscar (Odie) S. Wilson Jr.: sister and brother-in-law: Doris and Bobby Richardson, nephew: Christopher Richardson, nephew and wife: Stephen and Sara Richardson, great niece: Mykala Carlson-Richardson, brother: Kenneth Wilson, sisters: Helene and Madeline Wilson, brother and sister-in-law: Mark and Diana Wilson, nephew and wife: Nathan and Kirstie Wilson, niece: Morgan Wilson, aunt Maxine Stokinger and many cousins and friends. Sharon is preceded in death by her mother Roberta (Bobbie) Wilson, aunts: Marguerite Green, Mozelle (Wilson) Buckner and Doris Jean Wilson, grandparents: Harry and Roberta Forney, Oscar and Ruth Wilson.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth St. Grand Prairie, TX. Services will be 10:00 AM., Friday, September 20, 2019 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church 512 N. Cockrell Hill Road De Soto, TX with burial at Sunny Point Cemetery, Cumby, TX at 2:30 PM. Pallbearers: Kenneth Wilson, Mark Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Christopher Richardson, Stephen Richardson, Arnold Anderson, Gary Taylor, and Scott Hunt. Honorary pallbearers: Tom Graves, Tom Caldwell, Greg Fussell, and Michal Arrington.
