Sara Jane Bowles, 79, passed away Saturday March, 28, 2015. She was born in Pangburn, Arkansas on January 28, 1936. For 49 years she was married to late husband Cecil Eugene (Papa) Bowles. Sarah was a housewife and an ordained Minister by the International Ministerial Association. She had a passion for God and was a prayer warrior. She began as a street evangelist singing on the corners of Oceanside California with her husband Cecil playing guitar and her children Cecil Jr, and Mary singing and distributing tracts. From 1966 to 1971 she planted three churches, during that time she was struck with multiple sclerosis and was near death, yet her faith and belief in the healing power of Jesus Christ bounced her back and continued to preach the gospel. Her healing ministry touched many people throughout the years. She was part of a group called ghostbusters that prayed for people that were acutely oppressed. She was survived by husband Gene Doverspike, Sister Billie June (Pankey) Chapman, daughter Mary Helen Bowles-Larson, son Cecil Eugene Bowles Jr. Grandchildren; Ruby E. Bowles Velazquez and husband Joe A. Velazquez, Tamara Sarah Bowles, Ashley Nicole Bowles, Audrey Marie Hilliard and husband Taz Hilliard. Great Grandchildren; Jose A Velazquez Jr., Julian J. Velazquez, Aaron J. Velazquez, Levi Larson, Wesley Hilliard, and Kaelen Lambert Preceded in death; daughter Ruby Evelyn Bowles, Brother Robert Thomas Pankey, Sister Frances Geraldine Pankey Bennett.
