Ruby Christine Perez

Ruby grew up in Cayuga, Texas. While in high school she participated in drama and was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from Cayuga High School in 2007. In December of 2007 she enlisted in the US Navy. In 2009 while checking-in on the Ronald Reagan a CVN76 aircraft carrier, she met Kirk Godair and they began talking. The ship soon arrived in Hawaii, her favorite place, and they began dating. In March of 2011 their daughter, Cecilia was born, then in October of 2016 she married Kirk.

Ruby was an organ donor who gave blood regularly. She attended some college courses at Central Texas College in hopes to be a Nurse. She enjoyed working out and dining out to new restaurants. Her favorite was seafood, especially sushi. Ruby is in the Genius Book of World Records, a member of AAO (association of Aviation Ordinance Men) and an avid singer. She enjoyed drawling, was a motivator and mentor to many of her fellow Sailors. Ruby was always full of life, she was strong-willed with a good sense of humor and natural glow.

Ruby is preceded in death by her father Victor Morin Perez Sr.

She is survived by her husband Kirk Godair; daughter Cecilia Faith Godair; mother Rachel Mendez and husband, Nicolas; 5 siblings, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister-in-law, 7 aunts and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
