Ruby E. Edwards Barton

Ruby grew up in Southland and graduated from Southland High School. After high school, she married Donald Bedford and they had three wonderful children. They were married 21 years before they separated.

Later in life, Ruby married Alvie "A.T." Barton. They spent 35 years together, going to A.T.'s Seabee Naval Unit reunions and square dancing. Ruby was a loving wife and mother, who worked for Tarrant County in the auditor's office for 20 years. She was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, who loved doing skits imitating Minnie Pearl for the older members . She was very out-going and loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Bedford, husband Alvie "A.T." Barton and son, Kenton Dale Bedford.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Hooker and husband Ben, son Mike Bedford and wife Karen, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
