Robert lived in Roff, Ok through the 6th grade, then his family moved to Davis, Ok. He graduated from Davis High School in 1954. While in high school he attended a basketball game where he saw a girl playing. Later that day he noticed that she was working in the concession stand and convinced his friend to introduce them. He married Virginia Norman on December 1, 1955 and they just recently celebrated 59 years in love.
Robert and his new wife lived in the Davis, Ok area and had 2 children. He worked in the oil field before taking a job that moved them to Grand Prairie, Texas in 1965.
