Raymond W Walsh

Funeral services will take place at 1pm on Monday, February 18, 2013, at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, Belt Line Chapel with Pastor JD Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens. Visitation will take place Sunday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

Raymond was born on July 21, 1938, in Trenton, Fannin County, Texas, to the late William J. and Willie B. (Nash) Walsh. Raymond was a 1956 graduate of Grand Prairie High School and was a lifelong resident of Grand Prairie. He retired from Gifford Hill American after 45 years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Goodman Walsh in 2008; and five siblings: Joseph, Isaac, James, Alma Ruth, and Jenna.

Those left to cherish Raymond’s memories include his four children: Cindae O’Brien and husband Kevin of Austin, Andrew Walsh and wife Paige of Dallas, Hollye Freeman and husband Clint of Grand Prairie, and Amy Vaughn and husband Jerry of Grand Prairie; grandchildren: Danny III and Shara Hance, Ben Hance, Matthew and Kelly, Drake, and Luke Walsh, and David Vaughn; and great grandchildren: Mia, Jacob, and Danny IV Hance.
