The family moved to Texas where Mary Ann grew up and graduated from South Grand Prairie High School. She then met the love of her life, Joe Mirelez, whom she shared 49 years of life and love. They lived in Grand Prairie where they raised their son, Marcus.
Mary Ann worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) for over 20 years, as well as NEC and Interstate Batteries, where she gained many long lasting friendships.
Mary Ann was proceeded in death by her parents, Willie and Elly Torres, and her daughter Christina.
She is survived and dearly missed by husband Joe Mirelez, son Marcus Mirelez, step children Joey Mirelez (wife Grace), Anne Hooks (husband Bert), eight grandchildren Ashley Hidalgo, Bianca Mirelez, Joey Mirelez, Jr., Michael Mirelez, George Martinez, Jr., Jordan Martinez, Jarius Martinez and Colin Mirelez; thirteen great grandchildren, siblings Debbie Torres, John Torres (wife Michelle), Denise Torres and Christina McIntyre (husband James), many nieces, nephews and friends.
Although she is gone from the earth, we each are blessed for knowing her and having her in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home. Committal services at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas.
