Marjorie Ellen Douglas passed away Friday, July 12, 2013. She was born Feb. 22, 1928, spending most of her adult life becoming the perfect Navy wife and mother, having to adjust to many new duty stations, while raising a family and unpacking from the most recent move. She excelled at all of that! Friday, July 12, she arrived at her "permanent duty station" and eternal home with her Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother to Gail and Michael,an awesome grandmother to Chris, Jeff, Eric and Rob and delighted in telling about her beautiful great-grandchildren, Emily, Kendall, Austin, Emma, Kaitlin and Carson. She leaves many memories of family gatherings, shared vacations, wonderful food, and heartfelt advice. The love of her life, Bob, preceded her in death a short seven months ago. They had enjoyed 66 years of marriage. Marjorie was 85 years young and continued to take pride in her family, home and church home, Inglewood Baptist Church, until the very end. Her absence leaves a void in the core of our family that will never be filled. Dance with the angels, Mother, you have certainly earned it! Survivors: daughter, Gail and son-in-law, Jack Tredemeyer; son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Regina Douglas; grandsons, Chris and wife, Kim, Jeff and wife, Lily, Eric and wife, Kristin, Rob and wife, Jennifer; as well as the six awesome great-grandchildren.
