Linda Louise Hazard passed away on October 23, 2013. She was born on October 27, 1937 in Dallas, TX. She was one of six children of Clara and Charles Stubbs. Linda loved her family and showed it every day by many different things such as cooking, planning family trips to Padre Island, throwing big birthday dinners and always having her children and grandchildren’s back. She was the glue that held the family together. A truly selfless person, she was famous for her pralines during Christmas time. Living for her family she enjoyed shopping with the girls, taking the kids to church, and always made sure there was swimming pool. She would say it was for the children but everyone knew she enjoyed it just as much as they did.
She always had fresh flowers in her house and among the many kinds roses were her favorite. Linda was a fearless woman who didn’t understand the word “no”. If those words were uttered toward her she did everything she could to prove that wrong.
Linda did some gymnastics growing up and during high school she worked at the Up Town Theater. She was a long time member of PTA and taught Sunday school for 3-5year olds for many years. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.Linda is survived by her husband Donald W. Hazard; daughter Lisa Truitt; sons Steven L. Hazard and Keith Hazard; grandchildren Dayna Brown, Donald Keith Hazard, Steven T. Hazard, Katie Truitt, Jessica Truitt, Jamie Morris and Amy Zandt; great grandchildren Kylee Rouse, Gage Morris, Colt Brown, Jonah Robason, Logan Brown, Sarah Bogan, Sam Bogan and Anna Bogan.
