Lawrence (Larry) Russell Hubbard, age 80 passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born on July 26, 1944 in New Boston, Texas, to the parentage of Dale and Ruth Hubbard, who preceded him in death. He spent his early years in California and Louisiana.
Larry was a proud Vietnam veteran. He stayed in contact with men that he served with. He was very patriotic and loved his country. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.
Larry was very resourceful and could fix just about anything. Larry would always go out of his way to help others in need whether he knew them or not, especially with vehicle issues. He was good with carpentry and enjoyed making things with wood and Plexiglas. He was a car enthusiast and particularly liked English model antique and older American cars.
In his free time, loved trains and enjoyed working on his train layout at home, and was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Larry won a National Defense Service Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, and Vietnam Service Medal.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Carlene Hubbard his children, Daughters Jerry Biggers (Sigmar Arnold), Carey Jones, Carletta Money, son Douglas Hubbard (Ileana), and his 12 grandchildren, and 11 Great grandchildren. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
