He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Susan and four children: Doug (Susan) Messina, Michelle Erb, Dennis (Annie) Messina, and Scott (Nadia) Messina, and 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Paizely (Donovan), Mason, Nolan, Kennedy, Austin, Logan, Elizabeth, Joseph, Sara, and Aiden. He also has a great-grandchild on the way.
Ken is also survived by his siblings, Arthur, Daniel (Joann), and Patti along with their children.
Ken graduated from Triangle Area High School in South Fork, PA. After high school, he served for a brief time as the mayor of Ehrenfeld, PA and was a volunteer fireman for Geistown, PA for many years.
He worked for Bethlehem Steel before moving his family to Grand Prairie, TX in 1978. After that, he worked at General Portland Cement Company and later at American Airlines from where he retired. In his free time, he was a Pee Wee Football coach, a member of the South Grand Prairie HS Booster Club.
Ken was a sports enthusiast following the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State, TCU, Dallas Mavericks, and the Texas Rangers. He was thrilled to see the Texas Rangers win the World Series.
