Katrina Kaye Jones

Katrina was born on December 28, 1948 in Ft. Worth, TX to John and Vernell (Webb) Neely. She grew up and was baptized in Springtown, TX at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in Ft. Worth, TX. She had many different jobs, but the one that she retired from and loved, was as an auditor for the State of Texas Racing Commission. She was officed at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie.

Katrina had a passion for the Dallas Stars. This was something that she enjoyed with her granddaughter, Reva. She also had a great passion for Jesus and His Word. This is something that brings her family great comfort. One thing about Katrina, she never met a stranger. She loved people and would find friends anywhere she went.

Katrina was preceded in death by her mother, Vernell, her father, John Jr., her two sisters Sheila Faith and Dorothy Shouse, and her brother, Roy Neely.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Killough (Mark) and granddaughter, Reva of Newark, TX, her brothers, Lloyd Neely (Tollea) of Chandler, TX, Floyd Neely (Kathy) of Newark, TX, Perry Neely (Kathy) of North Richland Hills, TX, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs, Princess and Little Bit.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Matthew Road Baptist Church, at 2:00 pm.
