

John Fel Bryce, 68 of Grand Prairie, passed away August 2, 2014. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK on August 22, 1945 to D.A. and Shirley Geraldine Bryce.John was full of life and had great pride in his heritage; half Indian, half Scottish. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He got into the habit of a routine which stayed with him for the remainder of his life. Once a Marine, always a Marine! He never gave up anything, and would do anything for you if he had the chance. John was very spirited who when he loved you, he loved you whole heartedly.December 11, 1978 he married Susan E. Bryce, and brought his military back ground to his new family life. John had a place for everything and made sure everything was in its place. If things were moved around it would throw him off. He was a loving husband and father, who made sure that his children, knew that it was his way or no way. John was never afraid to give you his honest opinion, and was a good listener which made him easy to talk to. He worked as a courier, chef, mechanic and many other fields, overall he was a jack of all trades. John was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church of Grand Prairie, TX for the past 4 years. He had a passion for reading western and espionage stories, experiments with food, old country music and old time radio shows. He liked Marilyn Monroe, hamburgers and loved his half chow, half golden dog Katie. John is preceded in death by his parents D.A. Bryce and Shirley Geraldine Bloodworth, both sets of grandparents, grandson Clayton Maxwell Schrader, nephew Malcolm Bryce, aunt Lila Dawson, uncle Elmer Dawson and cousin Delfann Dawson. He is survived by his wife Susan Bryce; children Delona Sue Bryce, John Fel Bryce Jr. and wife Dawn, Amy Travian, Seanna D. Bryce; grandchildren Zeth, Wesley, Haley, Walker, John Thomas, Justin, Jason, Jessica; brother William D. Bryce and wife Sarah; nephews Douglas Bryce and David Bryce.
