I remember when I lived right across the street from Jena from my early childhood, the kindergarten days... our moms were literally best friends so we were destined to see each other no matter what and we became good friends as well. One of my first friends in an unfamiliar Virginia. I remember endless laughs and childhood shenanigans with Jena and Jordan until they moved out of Virginia. There was NEVER a dull moment!! Jenasis brightened up any room she was in for as long as I can remember and I know she's shining down on us today. Her personality and her laughter were so bold and beautiful. I hold the memories of our friendship close to my heart.

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I would walk into your Lemoore house(which was nearly everyday) you would pop out from somewhere with a scream and scare the s**#% out of me! It was a game to you! It runs through my mind like a hilarious montage. You were hilarious and rambunctious and a shining light in this world with that big, beautiful, cartoon-like smile and those gorgeous freckles. You made a mark on people, never to be forgotten and that’s a rare thing in this world sweet girl.

This is iyahna Jones and I went to high school and ran track with Jena . This girl had a gift for running she didn’t even have to do much and she demolished all her competition. I remember thinking her heart is so different and I’m so blessed to have meant her. After she graduated high school  She was always on my heart like always and I didn’t really understand until now. I was wondering how her well being was and how she was overall than, God put it on my spirit when he put someone on your heart he wants you to pray for them. Rest In Peace Jena you will never be forgotten . I love you so much baby girl ❤️

A proud and loving mother, Gerri called and said, “Come meet my kid!” The love and the smiles that came when she mentioned Jena were priceless. The beauty snd spirit of a young woman who gave so much with her smile and laughter touching the hearts of so many.  Her magnetic personality and big blue eyes will always remind us of her loving spirit! She is with the angels and making happiness in heaven as she did here on earth. In memory of Jena, mother’s everywhere are hugging their daughters a little tighter and sharing the memory of a beautiful young woman gone too soon.

When I met Malcom Corby, I instantly fell in love with his family. "The Corbys" were the best neighbors I could ever hope for. His family quickly became my family, which means his adorable 2 little ones Jordan & Jena were now my babies too. Oh but the little wrinkly nose, beautiful freckle face, blonde haired little girl they had...she stole our hearts & ran away with them. Jena was so little she could barely say too many words, but she was my heart, & I was her Moo Moo. How she got Moo Moo out of Sherry or Taylor, I will never know, but she gave me that name, & I wore it proudly.  I think of her often, & I can still hear her scratchy voice, & see her perfect face with the cutest freckles ever. I love u more than u know Jena, & that will always be a constant.

When we think of you, we will remember how much you cared about family.  I remember how Gerri told us you defended Jordan when the opportunity arose.  Your loyalty and love for family was demonstrated on so many occasions.  Although we never got into the dynamics of parenting teenagers, (We were not ready!) we understood that you were wise beyond your years. Chloe especially, looked up to you. She remembers you giving her popsicles! We are still in shock that you are no longer here and sad that you are gone.  But we know that you were loved by many. Your sweet enthusiasm will not be forgotten.  Rest well sweet angel.   


Your spirit and soul live on in so many people's hearts you were a ray of light. You always were proud of big bro and I just hope you know how proud of I am of you . When you told me you were going to college I damn near cried . I will make sure you are never forgotten . I met you at a young age, I was just a teenager then. I had always heard about you through your Mother. She always spoke so highly of you, even as you were growing. When I finally met you, I could see everything she spoke about.  At first you were extremely shy, but once I Got to know you and was around more you ended up being very corky and silly.  You had this energy,  we all just knew you were going to go somewhere in life you’re going to succeed. Due to the military, on both sides, we all ended up moving away from each other. I never had a chance to become extremely close with you, but even after everyone relocated, we did have a few conversations on and off. I am very grateful that I had met you when I did. I believe that you being gone, is just way too soon. But I pray that you have found peace. Keep watching over your family. As you know, you meant so much to them. Fly high Jena. You are missed by so many! 

I would just like to say that it is with great loss I send condolences to your family. You were always so positive and friendly to others. But it’s sad that we couldn’t help you when you needed it. And I apologize for that. The energy you spread throughout the couple years that I had known you was beautiful and authentic. But I don’t wanna say to much I love you jenasis and I’m sorry boo 🥺💗🙏🏾

Jenna, first off I would have to say is thank you for blessing me and a lot of others with your presence. You made a lot of situations brighter, calmer, and full of light. I remember meeting you as your freshman home period teachers assistant at lemoore high, and there wasn’t a day in that class that you didn’t have me laughing at something, or somebody. The smartest in the class hands down, book smarts, brain smarts, there wasn’t a thing you couldn’t do. We just knew when Jenasis was there, everyone would laugh, converse, too loud at times but that was what high school was for. Then we became lunch friends and we were all inseparable, from all of the laughs, random dance moves, jokes, moments in general it’s impossible to not remember them without remembering you in them.  You are definitely the flower picked too soon, the one that’s the most vibrant, bloomed, one at first sight that you just cannot stop adoring, to know you is to definitely love you. You’ve made a lot of people so so proud of you, a lot of people love you, and although after high-school everyone tends to go their separate ways, just know you will always be remembered, and loved Jenna. 

Jena was a beautiful young girl she would leave a smile on anyone’s face. Very funny & those beautiful blue eyes oh my. I’ll never forget you Jena we weren’t close but I’d been around you only a few times and I could tell in those little moments just how great of a person you were. Fly high babygirl & watch over your beautiful family 💙

Jena you will be missed dearly! My kids adored you during cheer you were such a loving person. I have picture from our Long Beach competition. The kids were in the pool and Jordan has Jena on his shoulders. When I find this picture I will be sure to share it. Jena, May you Rest In Heavenly Peace & May God Be With Your Family.

Sweet Jena where to start. You were always like a little sister to me, watching you grow up and even working with you at spuds for a little bit. All of the laughs and memories we got to share. Oh Jen... girl where do I even begin... I remember meeting you and we clicked instantly. You were a “blast in a glass” as I would always tell you! Haha. But, you were also such a kindhearted young woman. The way you interacted with Audri melted my heart. I loved the way you were with kids. Your soul just radiated beauty & I know in my heart that God is loving every second of having you with him. You were taken too soon from the physical world, but every time I see a butterfly I think of you. I hate any and all bugs, but now I find myself letting butterfly’s land on me and I feel peace. I’ll forever cherish every memory we had together. My 2 favorites are when you went to Angelo’s event with me (because I was complaining that I had no one to go with and naturally you offered to go with me), and when you spilled a tray full of shots on me!!! Jenasis was such a beautiful person I met her at the Fishbowl Radio Network station she was always so very kind beautiful outside and inside.  She took pictures of our guest & bought their books.  It was a delight to be around her. My condolences to her family and personal friends you truly have endured a loss but God is faithful and just. May the Holy Spirit comfort you.

I met jena when I was in 9th grade and she was in 11th & she instantly became a big sister to me. This really still feels surreal to accept but I know she in a better place & she would not want me to sad but I still find myself overwhelmed with emotions. I hate writing this. 
I love you so much. You have such a piece of my heart. I’m going to miss you so much. (This I’m sure you know.)  From me picking you up from school or us sitting outside in the dark talking about life, joking around, me trying to give you advice on the very little I knew and us laughing & joking around, planning the future and dreams. To you calling me shorty and towering over me with those lanky arms of yours. You accepted me and loved me so wholeheartedly. Supported me and was there for me to get through the worst parts.  This hurts so much and I will never say goodbye to you. I will see you again and we will laugh again.  

There are no words I could possibly say... you are so damn loved and will be remembered in my heart forever! 

You and your family have always had a soft spot in my heart ever since we met. Regardless of how you felt about me, I want you to know I care deeply about you and yours. She always brightened up my day when I saw her and grateful to have known such a beautiful spirit.

My sweet girl Jenasis, 

It’s so hard to believe that my baby girl is no longer with us. Even though her physical presence will be missed, she left fond memories and left lasting impressions on many people’s hearts. She had a radiant smile that brightened any room. When she made her entrance into a room she automatically drew others to her. Her beauty alone stunned them. Many students would tell her, she should be a model. My sweet girl would blush as she received  the compliment. She was indeed a beauty on the outside but on the inside as well.

Jenna brought life to any atmosphere. She was full of joy and happiness. Her joy overflowed as she used that gift to touch others. She would make people laugh hysterically due to her sense of humor and goofiness. There was never a dull moment around her. 

As her teacher, she left an imprint in my heart. She would always come and check on me daily two to three times a day. The crazy part is, I didn’t have Jenna in any of my classes. One day we had a conversation in the hallway about cheer and from there we had a great teacher to student relationship. That’s just like her to be friendly to everyone she meets. 

Jenna always told me I was her favorite teacher and I would always tease her and ask how is that possible, since I never taught her. She would hug me and say that’s ok, you are still my favorite as she would give me a big hug. Oh how I would do anything to get one more of those hugs. 

To Jenna’s family and friends, may God comfort you and give you peace that surpasses all understanding. You all will remain in my thoughts and prayers. May Jenna’s wonderful memories fill our hearts and continue to make us smile as she would prefer it that way.

Jenasis had my back for the 10 years that we have been best friends and I love her so much. She gave the best advice and had the best spirit. I miss our insides and little jokes. She will be severely missed, I love you forever sis. 

I remember Jena for her infectious laugh, her smile that lit up the room, and her kind and loving heart.  My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends who knew and loved her, as I did as her teacher.  May comfort be found in all of the memories that were made with her. She is loved and missed! 

My condolences to you and your family Gerri, Jenna was such a lovely little girl from the very first day we met her and my little guy LOVED when she would come babysit him and play with him. She always had a smile on her face and was always so sweet to my little family. Thank you for sharing her with us 

Jenna was in my sweet 16 it was a amazing time with her from the jokes at rehearsals to all the fun we had the day of , I will never forget that amazing times I shared with her . 

Jena was like a little sister to me. She was one of my first friends when I moved to California and remained my best friend from then on. She was always a able to brighten anyone’s day and you knew if she was around you would always be entertained I love you and miss you Jen.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain. Until that day arrives that will meet again. Love you forever and always baby love your Auntie Angie.

A memory I have of Jena is going to Venice for her birthday. That some of the most fun I ever had, just laughing  and joking with her the whole day.  Jena was such a light and great friend. She was someone that would go above and beyond for those she cared about. I cherish the friendship she showed me and greatly miss her. Sending love and prayers to you all
