Jean lived with her family in Germany after World War II and moved back to Texas during her childhood as an U.S. Army daughter. Her family settled in Dallas where she graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1968.
Jean met Paul Westmoreland in middle school, they began dating in high school, and later married on August 17, 1968. They were married for 47 years. Together they had 4 children, and 6 grandchildren. Jean loved her family and friends always.
Jean is survived by her husband Paul Westmoreland, her children Paul and his wife Veronica, William and his wife Linda, and Sarah Wallace and her husband Mike: her grandchildren, William, Anthony, Amanda, Sofia, Layla, and Molly. Her aunt Mary Appleby, her sister Elizabeth Miller and numerous cousins and nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Jean is preceded in death by her father Capt. Herman William Fowler and her mother Ann Louise Fowler, her sister Billie Fowler, and her beloved son Jacob Fowler Westmoreland.
Jean will be missed by the many people who knew her over the years; those who she cared for, cooked for, and otherwise loved on the best she knew how. Her smile, her humor, her wisdom and warmth will all be truly missed. We ask you to keep her in your memory and prayers.
