It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Reyes, 45, of Grand Prairie, Texas. Jason entered this world on November 9, 1976 to his loving parents, Joe and Rosie Reyes and after a courageous battle, returned to his heavenly home on December 31, 2021. His final days were spent with his loving family by his side.
Jason grew up and lived in Grand Prairie his entire life. After graduating from South Grand Prairie High school in 1995, he attended Mid-Cities Barber College. Throughout the years, Jason mastered the art of Barbering that was exemplified not only in his skill level, but his professionalism as well. He was a true artist. A one-of-a-kind Master Barber, who not only took the time to cut hair with perfection but took the time to talk with and build a lasting relationship with everyone who sat in his chair. It is because of this that his clientele list was long and loyal to the very end. He met, fell in love with and married the love of his life, Rosario in 1997. In the 24 years they were married they welcomed three sons: Jacen Dallas, Reece Nicholas and Matthew Lee. If you knew Jason, then you knew that his wife and children meant the world to him. He cherished their time spent together. He lived for family vacations, loved Elvis, and was intrigued by JFK. Like a true Texan, he was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and his heart bled blue and silver.
Jason was ambitious, big hearted and a born comedian. If he had his way, his obituary might have read…” I was born, I blinked and now it’s over”. He was a devoted son, a loving husband and father and an amazing brother. He was a true mama’s boy and the image of them happily reuniting in the heavens is both beautiful and agonizing.
It is so hard not having him here. We thought we had many more years, but God had other plans. Jason was loved by many and had friends all over. He leaves us with many great memories, and he will live in our hearts forever.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Rosario G. Reyes, brother-in-law, Ignacio Padilla
Leaving behind to celebrate his life, legacy and memories are his beloved wife, Rosario; sons: Jacen, Reece and Matthew. Father, Joe Reyes III; brother, Rodney Reyes (Rosy); sister, Roxanne Padilla (Jose); In-laws, Joaquin and Maria Padilla; sister-in-law’s, Maria Padilla, Rosaura Padilla (Antonio) and brother-in-law Dario Padilla (Jessica).
