Janet D. Martin

Janet Doris Martin went to be with her Lord Thursday September 27, 2012. Janet was born November 21, 1930 in Tyler, TX to John and Doris Hester. She lived most of her life in Grand Prairie, TX. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1948 and on March 17, 1949 she married the love of her life Johnie Martin in Rockwall, TX. Janet worked at Spar Metals in Dallas, TX and had two wonderful children; Johnny Martin of Ovilla, TX and Susan Jan Heimann of Lago Vista, TX. She loved the color pink and was a long time Dallas Cowboys fan. Janet is preceded by her husband Johnie martin, brother Bill J. Hester, mother Doris Hester and father John Hester. She is survived by her son Johnny Martin and wife Patsy, daughter Susan Jan Heimann, granddaughter Stephanie Wooldridge and grandson-in-law Jeff, granddaughter Kelli Heimann and grandson Christopher Gonzalez. There will be a graveside service held Wednesday October 3, 2012 at 1pm at Southland Memorial Park. 1100 SW 3rd St. Grand Prairie, TX with a reception to follow at Stephanie and Jeff Wooldridge's home. Directions will be provided after the service.
