Irma Yanez

Irma Flores Yanez, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 82. Irma was born on December 21, 1940 in La Blanca, Texas, to Amado Flores and Antonia Oliverez. She graduated from Edinburgh High School in Edinburgh, Texas, and received an associates degree from Southern Oregon University. On January 28, 1962, she married Jose Maria Yanez.

Irma made a career in teaching and had a passion for reading, drawing, sewing, and music as well.

Irma is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Maria Yanez; her son, Jose Maria Yanez (June); daughter, Lizette Yanez; brothers, Joe Flores and Jr. Flores.

She is survived by her children, Marisela "Kelly" Yanez, and Xavier Amado Yanez; grandchildren, Victoria Pereyda, Alyssa Yanez, Christopher Pereyda, Anthony Pereyda, Xavier Romeo Yanez, and Jose Maria (Joey) Yanez; and sisters, Beve Serna and Connie Gonzalez.

A visitation for Irma will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A funeral service will take place Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at 11:00 AM at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S Beltline Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
