Better known by her family and friends as Betty, she was a loving supportive woman who had a passion for her family and her faith. She was a wonderful mother who sometimes was to easy going but always a hard worker. She is best known for wearing red and her cooking. Never much of an outdoors girl she liked to spend her free time knitting, playing cards or cheering on the Texas Rangers and Phoenix Sun’s. Betty was a member of the Red Hat Society and Freetown Church of Christ in Grand Prairie, TX. She worked as a food service manager in a senior center for the City of Chandler.
In her later years she spent much of her time at the senior center here in Grand Prairie.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward Woolsey; siblings Charles Smith and Dorothy Fulks.
She is survived by sister Thelma Welch; son Harold Woolsey; daughter Phyllis Wilkinson; grandchildren Lisa Lyngos, Burt Wilkinson; great grandchildren Nathan Cyzmer, Lindsay Lyngos, Kenny Wilkinson, Austin Wilkinson, Madison Wilkinson, Amber Wilkinson and Allison Wilkinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
