

Service: Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the convent chapel of The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, 1814 Egyptian Way, in Grand Prairie. Rosary: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the convent chapel of The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.
George was born on June 30, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Bernard and Florence Stack Haase and was reborn into Jesus Christ through baptism in water and the Holy Spirit as an infant. He celebrated his faith in Jesus Christ by eating His Body and drinking His Blood in the Holy Eucharist and being filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation. He graduated from St. Leo's Catholic Elementary and Regis High School of Queens, N.Y., and Fordham University in the Bronx. He served in the Army in Germany post-World War II. He celebrated the Sacrament of Matrimony with Nancy Yeiser on Sept. 10, 1961, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Brooklyn.
George worked at Merrill Lynch as a stock broker and was transferred to Corpus Christi in 1967. He worked for Republic Bank and later First National Bank of Dallas beginning in 1972. He was involved in his children's athletic teams, serving as a softball coach for his daughter's team. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and served as a lector at Mass. During his time of illness, George celebrated the forgiveness of sins in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, as well as the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Haase Crowley; and niece, Karen Crowley.
Survivors: He is survived by his children, David of Kosovo, Sister Mary Paul of Grand Prairie, Susan of Spring and Chris of Carrollton; one niece; two nephews; as well as friends, Paul Wills of Arlington, David West of Fort Worth and Juan Hidalgo of Grand Prairie.
