Frederick Michael Hoffman, 64, of Grand Prairie, Texas, was called home by our Lord and Savior after a long battle with Cancer, on July 11, 2017. Fred was born March 26, 1953 in Hillsdale, Michigan to John and Anne Hoffman. Fred graduated from Plymouth High School and went on the serve in the United States Army. In 1976, he married the love of his life, Jamie. Fred served 4 more years before being Honorably Discharged on June 29, 1979. Fred was active in the Boy Scouts of America, Little League Baseball, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, where he served in various positions over 26 years of service. He was an active member of South Park Baptist Church in Grand Prairie.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kristen, and parents Anne and John Hoffman.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Jamie; their son, John, daughter in law, Pam; grandchildren, Colby and Chloe of Grand Prairie, Texas; brothers, Dave Hoffman, wife Patty, of Tempe, Arizona and John Hoffman, wife Mary, of SanTan Valley, Arizona. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at South Park Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 18, at 12:30 P.M. Burial will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
Fred loved his God, his Country, and his Family.
