Ettie Jane Clary Duvall, age 96, passed away quietly in her home Saturday, October 27th. She was the daughter of Jackson McNeil Clary and Margaret Etta Bratcher Clary. She was born July 27, 1922 in Handley, TX but spent almost her whole life in Grand Prairie.
She married James R. (Jimmie) Duvall November 16, 1940 and was a stay at home mom and helped with her husband’s Dirt and Gravel business by acting as secretary and book keeper.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, Grand Prairie Chapter #219 and member of Disabled American Veterans, Grand Prairie Chapter 42 and Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband James R., sisters Edna Dickerson and Betty Golden, brother Quince Clary and grandson Nathan Whitwell.
She is survived by children: Janice and husband Marlon Barrett, Jimmie Duvall and wife Kathy, Jack Duvall and wife Connie, Judy and husband Mike Whitwell, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home. Services will be held in the Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018 with Dr. Bill Skaar officiating . Burial will take place at Old Southland Cemetery.
