Elizabeth Allene Perry

She leaves her sister, Kathy Partridge, Niece, Martyanne and children, Niece Merrycathrine and wife Kathryn, Great Nephew Bobby, wife Kristin and Great Great Niece Addison, Great Niece Amy, Great Nephew Justin.

Born and raised in Dallas, Tx, the daughter of JT and Emma Perry.

In her early years, Elizabeth attended the Highland Park school district. Graduating High school and going on to Texas Women's university. Earning her degree in education. She taught elementary school at Armstrong elementary, the first 3 years of her career. Then to receive her dream job at, Brandenburg Middle school in Garland, Tx. Where she taught the remainder of her career, 6th and 7th grade Social Studies and Texas History.

Elizabeth had many passions, dolls, books, archeology and genealogy. She always had a book in here hand. It was a rare occasion to see her without one. Stories took her to many places and beyond. She believed in reading to keep her mind healthy and strong.

She collected more than 500 dolls over the course of her lifetime. Traveling to places for that rare find was exciting. Her love for dolls spread throughout the family near and far over the years. Giving many girls, beautiful China dolls, to one day remember her by.

Her love for social studies and ancient history, led her to become a member of the TAS, Texas Archeological Society. Traveling near and far to dig sites. Searching for ancient artifacts was a favorite past time. She shared stories, pictures, arrow heads and more with her family and friends. Floating the river on digs and singing by the evening camp fires.

Many years later, she began to volunteer at the Dallas public Library, working in archives department. This is where she would begin to find an interest in genealogy. Then to become a member of the Dallas Genealogical Society. Traveling the country, meeting "family" she never knew. following the trail of a family tree dating back into the early 1800's. Collecting pictures from many of the people she met, over the years of travel. Resulting in many boxes and binders full of pictures and information.

After she retired from teaching, she worked for the Science Place in Fair Park, where she had an opportunity to continue to work with and teach children. She had an opportunity to work at SMU Bridwell Library. Leaving the Science Place to work in the archives department at Bridwell. Until she could no longer work.

Elizabeth has led a long, rewarding life. Touching the hearts of many with her loving smile and strong heart. She will be missed, never forgotten.
