

Jean was born to the late James and Elsie Brown, in Cheltenham England on February 7th, 1929. She received her diploma in Domestic Science and Education from Bristol University, and taught home economics at a variety of schools in throughout England. She also demonstrated cooking for many years, to include 3 years working for Cadburry Brothers, before moving to the US. She married Raymond Christianson, a fellow travel enthusiast, on December 12th, 1959 in Bedford England. Jean loved to travel and explored extensively throughout Europe, Brazil, and the United States. She also loved to garden and cook, being the baker for anyone having a special event or birthday. Jean had an incredibly big heart and dedicated much of her time to volunteering and helping others. She always had time to help a friend, prepare a special dish or lend a sympathetic ear. She especially loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and never passed up an opportunity to spend time with them. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends, but now celebrate the fact that she is reunited with all of her loved ones that went before her.
She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Raymond. Jean is survived by her brother Robert Brown and his wife Gloria of Canada; daughter Ann Christianson of Grand Prairie; son Adrian Christianson and wife Carol of Arlington; granddaughter’s Jamie Reveles and fiancé Greg Wyrzykowski of Arlington and Melody Lemus of Grand Prairie; and great-grandchildren Esme, Ethan, Tomasz, and Lukasz.
The memorial service will be held at 11:30 on January 11th, 2020 with a reception to follow at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Rd., Grand Prairie, TX. 75052.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to St Jude’s. The family wishes to thank the staff at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center and also Dr. John Tui and Dr. Hanna Thomas for their attentive care and compassion taking care of their mother over this past year.
