He is survived by his beloved wife Lucy, son Denny (Teri) Mauldin and son-in law Joe Bush; sister Evelyn Walker; grandchildren Cavin (Tessa) Taylor, Marcus (Alexis) Taylor, Amanda (Cole) Murray, and Emily Mauldin; step-grandchildren Mandy (Gabe) Bush, Reese (Ashley) Bush; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Allen Mauldin, daughter Donna Bush, brother James Mauldin, and sister Sharon Sutton.
Ed was the first child of Clayton Mark Mauldin and Eunice Dollar, born on April 19, 1933. He worked on the farm in Oklahoma as a child and young adult. Ed married his only love Alma Lucille Krebbs on December 21, 1953. Ed served in the Army from 1953-1955. He worked for many years at Lone Star Gas and retired in the 1990’s. He was a simple and hard-working man who enjoyed gardening, fixing things, and spending time with family. He prided himself on providing outstanding, loving care for his cherished wife Lucy during her illness for more than the last 20 years of their 70 year marriage. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held for Ed on Fri., June 7th from 4-5 PM for family and 5-8 for friends at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral home, 2951 S. Beltline Rd., Grand Prairie, TX. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Sat. June 8th at 10 AM at same address, followed by burial at Southland Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Prairie.
