Dorothy Monthei Perez

Dorothy Monthei Perez, 72, passed away on October 27, 2016 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Irving, Texas. She was the wife of Edward Perez Jr. They were married for forty eight years. Born in Jefferson, IA. She was the daughter of Lyle J. Monthei and Marie Adeline Miller Monthei. She attended Trinity University of San Antonio, TX. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. She was employed at Lockheed Martin in Data Management. Dorothy was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for thirty six years. She loved politics, photography and traveling. She will always be remembered for her kindness to others and her quiet strength. She was preceded in death her parents, Lyle J. Monthei and Marie Adeline Miller Monthei. She is survived by her husband, Edward Perez Jr.; daughter, Robin Perez and granddaughter Summer Adams; her siblings, Marshall Monthei, Arlo Monthei, Linda Lawson, Lana Goldsberry, Roger Monthei, Kent Monthei and Dean Monthei. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Prairie.
