I deeply appreciate you and your family. A baptist of South Korea.

Lee and I regretfully will not be able to attend the Visitation time today or the Memorial Service tomorrow.  We had really wanted to be there so that we could express our sympathy and love to Libba and Pres and to the many KBM colleagues who will come.  Don was a marvel in so many ways....a man of God who delighted to share the Gospel with any who would pause to listen..., a really talented vocalist (with a superb accompanist/wife!) who blessed the hearts of so many people with his singing..., a compassionate, kind man who never refused to help in Jesus' name...a loving father who tried always to be there for his children....an appreciative and loving husband to his amazing wife who was a superb pianist and piano teacher...a great conversationalist who also knew how to listen when others spoke...and on and on we could go.  Truly God used Don Jones as a choice servant through whom He could do great things.  His memory will be treasured and his life will live on through the lives of all those he touched.

I respectfully extend my condolences to the bereaved family members of Korea Baptist  Church Development Board(KBCDB) for the death of Dr. Don Jones. 

In retrospect, Dr. Don Jones provided an important foundation for Korea Baptist documental mission. Korea Baptist documental mission started first in Busan in 1954 with the help of SBC. The late Nita Jones, also who was missionary in korea and the wife of Dr. Don Jones, worked as a publishing editor of Korea Baptist Publishing department, a predecessor of KBCDB, in 1961. Dr. Jones was the director of the Church Administration and Publishing Department in 1964. He introduced a system of Sunday School Board, which is now LifeWay. The work contributed greatly to the laying on the foundations for duty of KBCDB today. From that time, Purpose of KBCDB is research and publication for healthy church growth. 

Now KBCDB has grown into a leading research and development organization not only for Korea Baptist Church but also for the entire Korean church. So far,  We works like this: For God & Church, Prayer Only, Way to Church Growth & Blessings, Professionalism, Good Stewardship. KBCDB conveys deep gratitude and love to Dr. Jones who made this   possible.

Again, all members of KBCDB pray that the deceased Dr. Jones and his bereaved families will have the comfort of God.

He will be missed on earth.  Such a gentle soul. Our lose on earth. Is heavens gain, his voice blending with the saints.

  We have many happy memories of Don and Nita at Howard Payne University and seeing  them again at Inglewood Baptist Church.  Their years on the Mission Field in Korea were an inspiration to us and many others. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family at this time.
