Daniel Lopez, age 70, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Daniel was born December 24, 1951 to Roman Lopez and Audelia (Sepeda) Lopez in Weslaco, Texas.
In 1969 Daniel met the love of his life and soulmate and married Rosa Elia Ruiz on June 16, 1970. They then moved to Grand Prairie Texas in 1972, where they raised two daughters Dana Marie and Jennifer Lynn. They spent 52 glorious years together as husband and wife. Daniel was a devoted husband and a dedicated family man.
Daniel had a passion for soccer. He played, coached and refereed both youth and adult ages. He was a mentor and role model for the youth. He had an interest in bowling and on August 14, 2015, he bowled a perfect game. He scored a 300.That was one of his most proudest moments. Daniel's past time hobby was fishing. He's favorite vacation spot was Port Aransas where he enjoyed Deep Sea Fishing. He was also an avid Tejano music lover.
Daniel was known for his humor, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.
He is preceded in death by his parents ; Roman and Audelia Lopez. He is survived by his wife; Rosa Lopez, daughters Dana and Jennifer- Spouse Ricardo, two grandsons Zachary and Ruben Daniel and a granddaughter Evangelina. Sister Diane-Spouse Fausto, brothers Leandro spouse-Alma, John- spouse Ann and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 610 NE 17th St, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. A committal service will occur Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
