Cynthia Fly Magers passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2020 in Cleburne, Texas at the age of 51. She was born on April 17, 1969 in Irving, Texas to James and Judy Fly and was raised in Grand Prairie, Texas where she was a proud part of the Grand Prairie High School Class of 1987.
Cindy married her former spouse, Roy Shearin, in 1989 and they quickly fulfilled her dream of having a family, welcoming three children over the next five years. She spent over thirty years as an Escrow Officer working in the title industry, leaving a lasting impression on countless people who became longtime friends. Her passion however, was encouraging her children in taking on the world in as many ways as they could imagine. Whether academics, motorcycle racing, music, team sports, or fun summers on the lake, she could always be found cheering each of them on, providing support, and making sure they had anything the needed to follow their dreams.
On February 14th 2014, she married her best friend, Jimmie Magers, who she spent the remainder of her life with. After surviving an aggressive battle with cancer, she retired early and spent her days enjoying quality time with her husband and became an avid NASCAR fan. In June of 2018 they welcomed their first and only grandson into the world, and once again her life revolved around the child in her home, doing whatever was needed to keep him safe or put a smile on his face.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Jimmie Magers; parents, James and Judy Fly; children, Stephanie Lynn Shearin, James Lee Shearin, Samantha Jo Post and husband Cody Post; grandson, Parker Patrick Post; siblings, Kimberly Fly and Randy Fly; nephew, Ben Fly; aunts Barbara and Geraldine; cousins, Ashley, Brandon, Torey, Rick, Scott, Sharon, and Steven, along with many loving extended family members and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday September 19, 2020 at 11am at The MFS Event Center, 2021 Lakeside Parkway, Flower Mound, TX 75028, with a reception to immediately follow at the same location. David Ruiz will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cindy's life.
