I share these words not to remind you of the depth of your pain... you already know that.  I share them to remind you that you are not alone. For those of us who have lost a child, although we cannot understand your personal pain, we can certainly understand its power and the impact that it has and will continue to have on you and each member of your family. While it is true that your lives will never, ever be the same, life (not merely existing) can go on after the loss of a child. 

Look at a flower and see Cody in it... watch a butterfly and know that he is watching with you.  He will always be in your heart. You will not forget him or his voice as he slams through the front door to announce "Mom.. I'm home!"  

There is a portion of your love that is reserved just for him and that will never change. It cannot be shifted or diverted or placed elsewhere. It belongs to Cody and no one else can have it. They say that if we whisper their names in our heart, one day we will be able to say it to outloud.  I wish you peace... if even for a moment.

I love you Cody and miss you. But i will never forget you.

It really sinks in when I see your name written in stone... you went away.. how dare you... I miss yuhh... they said ide be ok, but im not going to ever get over you...you were the first boy I said I love you too, you were my first real boyfriend... Hi, my name is Austin. What I had with Cody was a very specal friendship and Cody was cool. He will be in our hearts with Jesus and his dogs are there too. When I go, I know he will be waiting for me at the at the Golden Gates to play Call of Duty with me.

I never had the chance to meet Cody, but was really good friends with my son's Nickolas and Nathaniel Jaramillo.  I know that he was a good person and he will always be loved!  Rest in peace.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
