on May 11, 1924 on the family farm near Pomona, Missouri to parents Charles H. McClellan
and Gertie A. Eubank McClellan. He was one of seven children - five boys and two girls.
He loved his family and growing up and helping on the farm. He liked all aspects of farming
except rock clearing for fencing. Many times over the years, he commented that he hoped
to never have to move another rock. He was united in marriage on July 4, 1946 to Lorraine
Perkins from Madison, Wisconsin. After he married, he began a career as an over-the-road
truck driver and continued in that career until he retired. Over the years, he was presented
with many safe driving awards for having achieved the honor of no accidents. When he retired,
he continued to work, helping his neighbors fix lawnmowers, till gardens and mow pastures.
He was a member of The Woods United Methodist Church.
He will be remembered as quiet, kind, down to earth, honest, caring and loyal. To his children,
he will also be remembered as a father who helped them in whatever way he could.
Ralph is survived by a sister, Fern Alvis, daughters, Roberta, Terri and Jennifer (JoeBob),
grandchildren, Ross Seeton, Joe McClellan, Lisa Trawick, John Pittman, Billy Pittman, Kelli
Patterson and Alex Patterson, great grandchildren, Ryan Seeton, Rylee McClellan, Haley
Trawick, Carson Trawick, Jacob Trawick, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one sister, Lena McClellan, four brothers, Lee,
Orval, Fred and Earl, and one son, Gary McClellan.
