Carson attended Danny Jones Middle School in Mansfield, TX. He completed the 7th grade and was a trombone player in their band. He had an amazing ability to interact with adults on their level which made him the teacher’s favorite.
Outside of school, Carson was the youngest of 6 children. He was involved in basketball, football, a Star Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and President of the Deacon’s Quorum at his church. He was a very active young man, enjoying swimming, ultimate Frisbee, and playing on his Ipod. Carson was extremely witty, and honest almost to a fault. He had a smile known by his family as “The Smirk” because only he knew what was behind it.
Carson was a faithful follower of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and had the ability to bring out the best in people. Always the first to accept a chore, Carson was very neat and made his bed every morning. He also took pride in his appearance; spending ample time to make sure his hair was just right. Carson had a particular preference for Nike gear and loved being around friends, little children and his cousins.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert Clyde Gormley and cousin Joseph Brannock.
He is survived by his parents Jason and Teddi Parr; brothers and sisters Justin Parr, Mattie McCleve and husband Chris, Ethan Parr, Allie Parr, Preston Parr; grandparents Joe and Debbie Parr, Walt and Sandy Frazier, Grandmother Nanita Gormley; 12 aunts, 12 uncles and 39 cousins.
