Carolyn was born on August 5, 1946 to Ovena Velmarie Gilchrest and Othel Sye “Simon” Dyson in Gatesville, Texas.

Her maternal grandparents were Arlena Pearl Bailey & Charlie Roy Gilchrest of Gatesville, Texas; both deceased.

Carolyn’s fraternal grandparents were Delia Dell Foster & Charley Franklin Dyson of King, Texas; both deceased.

Carolyn was the first of four daughters born to Simon & Velmarie Dyson - both deceased of Grand Prairie, Texas and buried at Southland Memorial Park, Grand Prairie, Texas. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Robert Weinman ,of Steubenville, Oh.

Three Sisters:

Arlena Kay Dyson born on February 4, 1948 (Gatesville, Texas) and her soul went to heaven on June 11, 1967 and her body is buried at Restland Cemetery at Gatesville, Texas.

Janice Darlene Dyson Shepherd Barnes born on May 1, 1952 (Gatesville, Texas) of Apopka, Florida.

Brenda Marie Dyson Morrow Lawson Rosser born on November 2, 1957 (New Braunfels, Texas). Passed away on April 27, 2015 and is buried at Southland Memorial Park, Grand Prairie, Texas.

One daughter, Charlotte Kay Kilgo Winderweedle Dotson; born on April 24, 1965 (Gatesville, Texas) of Fort Worth, Texas went to Heaven September 3, 2016 with internment at DFW National Cemetery. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Chad, deceased on March 18, 2014 with internment at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Life became difficult for Carolyn after the death of her daughter. She never really recovered from the loss.
