Brian Graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1984. He Played Quarterback for the Gophers Football team from 1980-1984. He passed his love of sports down to his daughters and nephews. When not working at Bell Helicopter/Textron he spent his spare time playing golf, enjoying time with friends and family, cookouts and camping.
He was predeceased in death by his mother on July 12th, 2019. Survivors are wife Lisa Newsom; Daughters Brianna Newsom Lopez (David Lopez), and Brooke Newsom.; Granddaughter Hazel Rae Lopez; Father Roy Newsom; Brothers Tony and Tracy Newsom; Brother in law Greg Haney (Traci Haney); Sister in law Trina Anderson (Robbie Anderson); Nephews Tony Newsom Jr. (Hayley Newsom), Jeremy Newsom (Stephanie Newsom), Brandon Newsom, Dylan Newsom, Clayton Haney; Nieces Amie Haney, Brittany Bagnell, and Amanda Hammel (Preston Hammel).
Serving as pallbearers are Josh Jaccard, Randy Minnix, Chad Wilson, John Stowell, Clayton Haney, Preston Hammel, Robbie Anderson, John Macclean and Larry KuyKendall.
