Bobby was born March 27, 1932, in Bellevue, Texas, to Claudie and Naomi Fincher. He graduated from North Texas High School in 1950 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts degree from North Texas State College in 1958.
In 1958, Bobby married Ernestine Jimenez Arellano. They moved to Grand Prairie in 1961 and bought the house he lived in until his passing. While working as a machinist at LTV for 34 years, he and Ernestine raised three daughters. Bobby enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sailing, driving his bright red TR3, going to the State Fair, traveling with his wife, and visiting numerous hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants in the area, where they usually knew him by name.
Mr. Fincher, known lovingly as “Pepaw” to his family and “Shotgun” to his oldest friends, was preceded in death by his wife Ernestine and his sister Katherine Jo Midgett.
Pepaw is survived by his three daughters, Diana Lackey, Antoinette Fincher, and Linda Asebedo; his sons-in-law, Rick Lackey and Rodney Asebedo; five grandchildren, Aren Cameron (Jason), Anthony Asebedo, Kara Tittle (Lance), Leanza Asebedo, and Zachary Asebedo; two great-grandsons, Atticus and Archer Cameron; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
