Billy was born in Freestone County, TX. He grew up in Richland, TX.
He came to Dallas in 1957 to search for a job. He met the love of his life Rovaine Smith in 1960 at the Heights Theater in Oak Cliff where he was an usher and she worked concessions. They married in 1962, had two children and enjoyed 58 years together.
The family moved to Grand Prairie in 1970. He retired from General Portland Cement.
Enjoyed fishing and hunting all his life. He is survived by his wife Rovaine, daughter Madonna Johnston and husband Scott, son Dennis Brown and wife Shelbey.
Grandchildren Aaron Johnston and wife Alyssa, Kristen Johnston, Hayden Brown.
Great grandchildren Sophia Mendez, Gavin Johnston, Everly Brown.
He was a good husband and daddy as well as a friend to many. He will be missed.
