My father, Bill Arrington died early on Tuesday morning, July 18, 2017.  He will be terribly missed, he was my hero all thru my life.  I'm so sorry for my mother Cheryl Wicks Arrington who has been married to him over 51 years, my husband Jimmy McCarty and my children Ariana Klein & Robin McCarty and for my entire family that loved him dearly.
I know will we meet again Dad.  You never once let me down and I always felt comfort in your presence.  It was an honor to call you my father.

On behalf of my mother Peggy Wicks, my wife Janna, and I, our thoughts and prayers are with you Cheryl and your family.  We love you.

Miss you, Daddy. I love you. You will always be in my heart, love Katrina (Boo, the nickname you gave me when I was a baby).

Our hearts are with your family in this time of sorrow and are also in our thoughts and prayers.  He may be gone but the memories will remain forever.

Im sorry to here about Bill my prayers go out to Cheryl and the family. May you all find peace in your hearts in this time of loss.

Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and I remember him telling some very silly jokes that really made me laugh. He was a brave soldier, a hard worker, and a good husband and father who took care of his family. He will be very missed.

My Papaw was the best man I've ever know.  He was more than a Papaw he was a Daddy to me and my sisters and the best Grandpa I could ever ask for for my 2 sons. He taught me how to swim, he taught me how to ride my bike, and he even saved me from drowning once.  He took care of us and always put his family first.  You will have never met a man as amazing as he was. I have so many good memories that I will hold and cherish forever.  All the trips we took, the tickles he gave us sitting in his lap when we were little, he even tried to teach me how to drive a standard (which I unsuccessfuly did.) He also made this amazing toast for us that had milk and sugar in it. There's just too much and too many good things to share that it would fill pages and pages.  Papaw Bill I love you so much and I miss you and I hope to see you again someday in Heaven. And don'nt worry we are a strong family and we will get through this.

Bill took his last call from our Lord above, He is now with him in Haven .Bill may   all your signals be clear, and that you never have to head into sidings any more..May God be with you in Haven, And may God bless the one's you left behind .    Sorry to hear about Bill. We had a lot of good times and laughs over the years on the golf course and at the U P. He was a good man and a good friend. He will be missed.                                                                  Dusty Rhodes

I worked with Bill several years, there was no time at the railroad I enjoyed more. We sat many hours on locos just talking, Bill was smart, funny, and knew railroading. He taught me a lot. Bill had a big  heart as well, even though he scared the heck out young guys with his rough exterior. It was just an act. Bill would help any one of them. As people come and go from your life, and you don't keep in touch like you should, some enter your thoughts more than others. Bill is one of those for me. I will miss him.

Bill, you will be missed. A good man, a good coworker and a very good friend! Rest easy big boy!
