Born in Tampa Florida, Andrew Austin Sieg age 90, of Grand Prairie Texas, passed from this life on February 10, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Lou Wanda (Pate) Sieg on January 12, 2011. Andy, as he was known by most, was an active member of Indian Hills Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served in the church’s outreach ministry to area nursing homes. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 through 1953 with active duty in the Korean War. He also served in the Texas Air National Guard from 1953 through 1959. He worked for over 38 years in the insurance industry for Equitable Life Insurance. His primary focus in life was his family and service to others through his church. During his life he also coached boy’s baseball for the Kiwanis Club, Topmix Concrete and Noon Optimist. He, and his family, also constructed a vacation home on Possum Kingdom Lake where many fun times were enjoyed.
He is preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, one brother and two infant children.
He is survived by daughter Pam Sieg of Grand Prairie, son Michael Sieg and wife Melodee of Midlothian, grandson Christopher Sieg and wife Elsa of Waxahachie, great grandchildren Michael Andrew Sieg and Analeise Collins of Waxahachie, sister-in-law Maxine McGahey of Round Rock Texas and several nieces and nephews.
