Alvis Jackson “Jack” Jenkins, 83 passed away December 9, 2013 in Weatherford,TX. Funeral Services will take place at 10:30am on Monday, December 16, 2013, at Funeraria Del Angel in Grand Prairie, TX, with Pastor Denny Jenkins and Pastor David Jenkins Officiating. Burial will follow in DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at Funeraria Del Angel in Grand Prairie from 2 pm-4 pm. He retired a lieutenant after 30 plus years from the Grand Prairie Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Ruth Jenkins, a daughter, Andrea Lynn Jenkins. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter Jackie Byrom and husband David, son Randy Jenkins, son Larry Jenkins and wife Kim, and daughter Christy Jenkins. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jerrid Dye, Carlye Howell, Jeffrey Dye, Shannon Sawyer, Megan Furay, Zach Furay, Clayton Cheney, Amber Jenkins, Madison Furay, 11 great grandchildren, his extra daughter Lori Zidell, his brother Dan Moody, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
