Virgil passed away on November 13, 2022 at home in Grand Junction, Colorado, surrounded by his loved ones.
Virgil spent his childhood in Coates Creek School in Glade Park, Colorado and graduated from Central High School in Grand Junction, Colorado. Virgil worked in the oil field business and owned a Water Truck Service business, servicing the oil fields.
Virgil built his cabin on the Grand Mesa in 1978, and it was his favorite place to go and stay. Many days and years were spent with his family and friends at the cabin.
Virgil is preceded in death by his parents; his brother LeRoy Robertson and his sister Shirley Real and is survived by his spouse Norman Swezey and sister Rita Hayden and many nephews and nieces.
Virgil’s greatest wish was for his ashes to be placed at his cabin. That is where he will rest.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
