Vernon died Tuesday morning December 10, 2013, at his home with his wife, Teresa and family by his side.
Vernon was born in Clarksville, Arkansas to Oliver and Jewel Taylor where he grew up and received his education.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, daughter and brother. His faith in the Lord was so great that he always felt His presence and had no fear of death.
Vernon career had many faces. He was a coal miner, and during the uranium boom, he bought his own truck and hauled uranium ore from the mines in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. He continued as a truck driver in Kansas City and later hauling road oil, livestock, and building material throughout the mountains of Colorado and other western states. His last venture was driving for City Market from where he retired after 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa; step-son, Melvin (Debbie) Madril; grandson, Andres Madril (Kristen, Tucker and Ally), and granddaughter, Andria Madril.
Services will be held at Clifton Assembly Of God Church, Clifton Colorado, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013.
