Sara Montoya passed away January 24, 2016 at Community Hospital, she was 96.
Sara was born on June 7, 1919 in Wagon Mound, New Mexico from the union of Ezequiel and Carlota Montoya. Sara was in the ministry with her husband for over fifty years, ministering in Assembly of God Churches in New Mexico and Colorado. She was a Sunday School Teacher and Secretary. She also helped her husband with all his ministerial duties. She was known as a prayer warrior and enjoyed reading her bible. She also worked doing housework and translating for Spanish speaking people. She was known to all as Gramma Sara, enjoying all the children she came in contact with, she will be missed by all.
Survivors include her children, Joe from West Palm Beach, Florida, Cleo (Melecio) Martinez, Marta Beaulieu, Raquel Gonzales, Leah Stevens, Samuel (Margarita), Carlotta (Noah) Trujillo, Maxine (Victor) Stinemetze and David (Deborah) Montoya all from Grand Junction, Colorado, twenty-eight grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Climaco and two daughters, Anna Reyes and Priscilla Espinoza.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Junction Community Church (2867 Orchard Avenue) with a visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
