Robert Hughes Wilkins

Robert Hughes Wilkins, Sr. was born in Munich, Germany to Oscar and Vivian Blundt Wilkins, December 27, 1951. He spent his childhood in Amityville, New York and graduated from high school there. He was in the United State Airforce and served in Vietnam.

He lived the first 20 years of his life in New York and then moved to Colorado, where he met the love of his life, Yvonne Adamson. They were married in New York in 1973.

Bob loved animals, especially his cat Princess. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, car shows and the Grand Mesa. He loved to hike with his grandchildren. He lived in Grand Junction for 32 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Yvonne, and three sons, Dale "Bill" (Roberta) Shreeves of Torrence, CA., Donald Charles (Sara) Shreeves of Grand Junction, and Robert Wilkins of New York. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Sarah Lynn Shreeves and Julia Pauline Shreeves of Torrence, CA. Stevie Marie Shreeves, Michael Johathan Shreeves, and Kati Jo Shreeves of Grand Junction, CO.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Vivian Wilkins and his in-laws, Charles and Mary Adamson.
