Robert met the love of his life, Pamela Morrison and they married September 10, 1961 in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Robert and Pamela were residents of Grand Junction, CO for 56 years.
Robert previously lived in Niagara Falls, NY, Arlington, VA and Alamosa, CO.
He spent his childhood in Niagara Falls, NY and graduated at Niagara Falls High School in 1957 and attended Adams State College in Alamosa, CO.
Robert attained a Degree in Mathematics and Education and a Master’s in Counseling from Western State College.
Robert was a dedicated member and Trustee at the 595 Eagles in Grand Junction, CO, a testament to his deep-rooted commitment to his community.
Robert was a Teacher, Counselor, Basketball Coach and Assistant Principal at Central High School in Grand Junction, CO. He dedicated over 30 years of his life shaping young minds and fostering a love for education.
Robert served our country in the Army from 1962 until 1968.
Bob’s love for his family was unparalleled. He cherished their time together on camping trips, filled with fishing and fun. His dedication to his students was unwavering, and he always found time for people, investing in relationships. In retirement, he and wife Pam, embarked on countless adventures creating cherished memories.
A Celebration of Life will take place on June 20, 2024 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at Eagles 595, 1674 US-50 Grand Junction, CO 81503.
Burial will take place privately.
Robert is survived by his daughters Kelly d’Avella of Clifton, CO and Kristen Buckley of Grand Junction, CO; 3 grandchildren, Austin Magura, Faith Buckley and Riley Buckley.
Robert’s wife Pamela passed away just 8 days after Robert, on March 30, 2024.
