He was an agricultural business owner.
Richard is survived by his companion, Cate Plante of Grand Junction; brother, Jon (Susan) Pierle of Tennessee; sister, Marisue (Grant) Marsh of Tucson, Arizona; and three nephews.
Services are being planned for a later date.
