Peyton was born on February 17, 1993, in Dearborn, Michigan, to Todd Arthur and Greta Le (Taylor) Schartner. She spent her childhood in Flat Rock, Michigan, and attended high school at Monroe High School in Monroe, Michigan. Throughout her lifetime, she also resided in Richmond Hill and Wilmington Island, Georgia before settling in Grand Junction where she spent the last 6 years.
Peyton loved being a mom and adored her children. She also loved music, true crime TV, the water, nature, BBQ sauce, mint chocolate chip ice cream with cookies and cream cake, and experimenting with different foods.
She is survived by her husband, David Gardner of Grand Junction; parents, Todd (Delana) Schartner of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and Greta Le Taylor of Grand Junction; her son, Kaleb Plumb of Ann Arbor, Michigan; daughters, Sadie Plumb of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Piper Rapp and Luna Gardner, both of Grand Junction; her brother, Michael Taylor of Grand Junction; sister, Jennifer Schartner of Roseville, Michigan; five nieces and nephews, Rileigh Taylor, Ava, Aiden, Liam and Greyson Schartner; grandparents, Kenneth and Beverly Schartner of Prescott, Michigan; her aunt, Hollie Tucker; and her special friend, Benjamin Rapp. She is preceded in death by her uncle, Cary Schartner.
