Norma was born in Ouray, Colorado on January 2, 1931. She graduated from Ouray High School with the class of 1951. Following graduation, she married Reese Wilder and they settled in Grand Junction.
Norma started working at the Café Caravan in 1955 and worked there for 28 years. After her work at the Caravan, she worked at the Hilltop at St. Mary’s for 9 years and then Home Care of The Grand Valley for 16 years. Norma was a very hard worker and excellent caregiver. She loved to help others. Before her husband passed away on June 26, 1982, she spent countless hours providing and caring for him.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lena Condotti, sister Belinda Fay of Montrose, Kathryn Ziller and Eva Clements of Moab, Utah.
She is survived by her son Gene Wilder (Carol) of Grand Junction; grandchildren, Payton Wilder of Greeley, CO, Logan Wilder and Morgen Wilder of Denver, CO; brother Joe Condotti of Ouray, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Crones for all their love and support they gave Norma.
A celebration of Norma’s life will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Norma’s name to Home Care of The Grand Valley.
