Norma Bethel Wheeler

Norma Bethel Wheeler was born the second of two children to Clifford Wesley Young and Mrs. Naomi Bethel (Jordan) Young on January 19, 1933 at Fruita, CO. She departed this life Tuesday morning, August 28, 2012 at Colonial Villa Good Samaritan Society Home in Alma, NE where she had been a resident since July 27, 2012. Her age was 79 years, six months, and nine days.

Norma attended grade school in Fruita, CO. Following her education she resided in Fruita. On October 14, 1978 Miss Norma Bethel Young was united in marriage to Larry James Wheeler at Fruita, CO. Following her marriage, Norma and Larry resided in Grand Junction, CO until moving to Orleans, NE in 2004. She had helped her husband, a welder, on pipeline construction for two years from 1980 to 1981. She was baptized at the Book Cliff Baptist Church in Grand Junction in 1984. She was a member of the New Wine Fellowship at Orleans, and formerly the Book Cliff Baptist Church in Grand Junction.

She was preceded in death by her mother on January 19, 1933 shortly after her birth; her father on September 14, 1986 and one brother Benjamin Young.

She leaves to mourn her passing her loving and devoted husband Larry of their home in Orleans, Nebraska. A visitation is being held for Norma at Martin Mortuary on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 5pm to 7pm. A service will be held the following day, September 6, 2012 at 10am, at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
