Last Wednesday evening, we lost our son in a terrible car accident and our lives have been changed forever. Not just our lives, but the lives of all of those who knew Mike. He was a young man who loved life and lived it to the fullest in every way.
Mike had passions for hunting, camping, skiing, and hiking. He made the most of every single hour of every single day. We thank God that we were able to have these twenty short, but amazing, years with him. Mike has permanently left footprints on our hearts, that will never, ever be forgotten. A very special friend texted us saying, "" Mike was the funniest, goofiest, happiest, most energetic, and athletic kid with shining locks of hair, I have ever met in my whole entire life"". To us, and I believe many others, Mike had all of those qualities. We thank God that as a young boy of eight, he asked Jesus into his heart and is now in an even better place, heaven. But oh how much he will be forever loved and missed here on Earth.
A celebration of Mike's life will take place on Tuesday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Canyon View Vineyard Church, 736 24 1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Compassion International or The Division of Wildlife, Hunter Mentorship.

Now six months have passed. The pain of this World is not at all what God intended.
Yet, here we are today wrestling with the loss of you, Mike.
We were so incredibly blessed; you were our son, Lindsay's brother, and a friend to many. Our hearts ache. To hurt deeply means we loved deeply.
Help us to live as you showed us. Every hour of every day bursting with life and passion for others. In Mike's death, help us to remember the Faith and Hope in knowing Jesus Christ and that we will once again all be together in Heaven. We will bust through knee-deep powder, down breath-taking mountains.
