Matthew James McCaghren

Matt was born on August 18, 1995, in Escondido, California, to Marvin and Amelia (Donaldson) McCaghren. He spent his childhood in Escondido, and graduated from Valley Center High School in Valley Center, California. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. In his free time, he loved outdoor activities such as snowboarding, skateboarding, hiking, horseback riding, and rock collecting. He liked fast cars, RC cars, excavators, and working on things like cars, motorcycles, and cell phones. Matt also enjoyed boxing, dog training, and quoting movies- but what meant the most to him was spending time with family and friends, especially his nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters. He will truly be missed.

Matt is survived by his father, Marvin McCaghren of Idyllwild, California; his mother, Amelia McCaghren of Colorado Springs; brothers, Jason McCaghren of Lake Elsinore, California, Noah McCaghren of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dustin Bennett, and Tim Goodale; sisters, Erin Bennett of Colorado Springs, Amanda McCaghren of Colorado Springs, Jackie Goodale, and Sarah Goodale.

Services will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2023 in California.
